Team Building at Eight SPIN Venues

SPIN hosts team building at eight venues in seven cities: Boston, Chicago, New York Flatiron, New York Midtown, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle and Toronto. SPIN Pros lead ping pong competitions, tournaments and social play during your event.

To reserve space for your company, visit our venue selection directory to find your nearest club. Then send an inquiry through that venue’s private events page, and its party planners handle the event.

Tournament Formats and Group Games

Paddles are Stiga, balls are unlimited, and staff keep ball baskets stocked so play is uninterrupted.

For your tournament structure, you could play doubles with partners from different departments or split a tournament bracket by team. You can find detailed setup ideas in our guide on how to organize company ping pong tournaments.

Guests who do not play ping pong can play tabletop shuffleboard, Atari Pong, giant Connect 4, and giant Jenga, or watch sports on SPIN’s screens. Photo booths and interactive installations give guests something to do away from the tables. You could also take a team photo at a photo booth.

Off-Sites and Client Events

SPIN venues support strategic off-sites, company celebrations, and client events, with flexible table configurations. You could open your event with a short meeting or company presentation on our audio/visual (A/V) system for presentations or music, then transition directly into ping pong.

Venues can also host private events outside normal operating hours.

For example, our New York Flatiron club features 19 ping pong tables and includes a private room with a dedicated bar, seating, and ping pong tables. Read our recommendations on team activities for large groups.

Company Branding and Event Upgrades

You can customize your event space with company branding across paddles, balls, and table decals featuring your logo and company message. At a client event, guests play with paddles and balls that carry your logo.

SPIN also offers creative upgrades, including a surprise DJ, branded paddles, and a pro exhibition match in the middle of the event.

Food and Drinks from the Scratch Kitchen

Executive chefs cater SPIN events on site from a scratch kitchen of shareable, snackable plates, so you do not need a separate caterer.

Full-service bars pour craft cocktails, premium spirits, and other drinks.

Menus label avoids-gluten, vegan, and vegetarian items. The kitchen uses dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, nuts, fish, and shellfish, so guests should tell the party planners about allergies.

Step-by-Step Guide to Booking Your Event

Booking an event at SPIN takes four steps.

  1. Select your target city from our venue directory.
  2. Submit an inquiry through the private events page for your chosen location and select team building as the event type.
  3. Share your estimated group size, target dates, and any schedule preferences, such as booking outside normal operating hours.
  4. Receive a quote from the venue’s event team.

SPIN is not a fit if you want a quiet, seated, formal dinner. Events center on ping pong play, with guests moving between games and shareable plates. For a seated meal with speeches, a restaurant private dining room is the better choice.

Options for Smaller Teams and Seasonal Outings

SPIN provides several options for smaller groups that do not require a full venue buyout. Party packages cover 4 to 20 guests on most weekends, Friday evening through Sunday at select venues. You can book a package 30 days ahead, and the party packages in Chicago page shows one venue’s version.

These packages include a bar package, stationed food, a section with dedicated ping pong tables, extra seating, and unlimited balls. Smaller teams of 2 to 10 guests can also book standard table reservations for casual department outings.

If remote or hybrid coworkers are meeting in person in one of SPIN’s seven cities, read our guide on team building for remote and hybrid teams. For seasonal planning, explore our corporate holiday parties or review our office holiday party ideas for year-end gatherings.

When you book a holiday event at a US venue, our holiday event promotion lets you choose one enhancement on the house, such as a Baked Brie Bite.

SPIN venues are family-friendly and become 21+ after 9 PM. If guests under 21 are coming, tell the party planners whether your event runs past 9 PM.
